Baseball is a complicated sport laden with frustrations and defeats, and to play it well you have to understand the complexity of the game. It's often said those who don't like baseball, simply don't understand it. Yet, nothing brings us to our feet faster than a ball hurdling through the air or the excitement of a runner crossing home plate.
I truly love the game of baseball, and like many others, I want to make it to the big leagues one day. I know I have a long way to go and a hard road to travel but I'm ready for it. As long as I have people like you who believe in me and encourage me to follow my dreams I know I will make it. And although I won't make every catch or hit every pitch or strikeout every batter, I will promise to do my very best when I'm on the field representing my team, coaches, and spectators.
